Yesterday he was all out of sorts--very tired but didn't want to sleep. I tried to put him down for an early nap, but he wasn't having it. Tried to put him down for his regular nap, knowing he was exhausted, and he had to cry for 20 minutes before he went to sleep. Later, I tried to put him down for an afternoon nap, which he's been taking lately, and he wanted nothing to do with that. Then at bedtime, he was so tired, but he still cried for half an hour before finally going to sleep. I hate listening to him cry on the monitor, but I know that's the only way he will go to sleep.
Last night, Blake went up to bed, and I went up a few minutes later to find him in Nate's room, rocking Nate. He said when he went in to check on him, poor Nate was sitting straight up in his crib asleep, head bobbing and all. I guess he was so mad at me after I put him down that he sat up to protest and scream louder, and that's where he fell asleep. Sad and funny at the same time. :)
